Itinerary - Field Tour - Tredyffrin-Easttown History Club

July 8 - 11, 1938

First Day:
Leave 7:30 A.M. on 202 to Morristown, New Jersey.
Visit Morristown Museums.
202 to Stony Point - Scene of Wayne's Great Victory,
202 and 9W to West Point - Grounds and Cathedral.
9W to Newberg - Visit Washington Headquarters (Omitted on this trip)
9W to Albany - on to Saratoga Springs.

Second Day: Visit Saratoga Battle Field.
Visit Schuylerville (site of Burgoyne's surrender) - Glenn Falls - Lake George - Fort Ticonderoga Museum - Crown Point - See raised gunboat Philadelphia of Arnolds Fleet.
Cross Bridge over lake to Vermont.

Third Day: Through the Green Mountains on Route 7 to Bennington.
Visit the Battle Field 8 miles west of town.
North Adams - Down the Mohawk Trail to Concord.
Visit Boston.

Fourth Day: Visit Lexington Commons and Concord Bridge.
Home by Great Barrington in the Berkshires - Hudson - Rip Van Winkle Bridge - Kingston - Port Jarvis - Stroudsburg.
