Source: April 1988 Volume 26 Number 2, Page 40 Foreword This year the Trinity Presbyterian Church, the first church in Berwyn and Easttown Township, is commemorating its 125th anniversary. Our first two articles, by Barbara Fry and Peggy Egertson, were prepared in conjunction with this anniversary, and were presented at the January meeting of the Club. Remember the "friendship" album you had when you were in high school or grade school? Our Club members did at the first Club meeting this year. Our next article is a "sampler" of some of the verses and inscriptions from the albums of Club members, or older members of their family. J. Randall Cotton's brief history of the Greenwood Farm on Valley Road was developed as a part of an application, still pending, to have the property listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The history of the PQ Corporation, whose corporate headquarters are located in Tredyffrin Township, was presented at our February meeting. It was originally prepared by John J. Curtin for the company's 150th anniversary; we appreciate the cooperation of the PQ Corporation in permitting us to include this abridged and revised version of the history here. And, finally, we have a brief personal reminiscence appropriate for the traditionally rainy days of April. |
