The Chester Valley Trail

Tim Lander

Society member Tim Lander presented an informative history of the development process that transformed the former Chester Valley Railroad right-of-way into a well-used and popular multi-purpose recreational resource, stretching from the border of Montgomery Country in eastern Tredyffrin Township to Exton in the west.

Society Treasurer and Board Chairman Tim Lander is also President of the Friends of Chester Valley Trail, a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist the Chester County Parks and Recreation Department to promote trail activities, plan for future programs, facilities and improvements, alert staff to trail conditions, assist in reducing maintenance costs, and provide other assistance to the public as may be requested.

This presentation was held at the Tredyffrin Public Library in Strafford, PA starting at 2 pm. Visitors are cordially invited, and there is no admission charge at our public meetings.
