REMEMBER PAOLI ! BRANDYWINE ! AND VALLEY FORGE !
THEIR SCENES AND GLORIES NOT UNKNOWN,
ARISE AND MAKE AGAIN YOUR OWN;
SNATCH FROM THE ASHES OF YOUR SIRES,
THE EMBERS OF THEIR FORMER FIRES;
AND HE WHO IN THE STRIFE EXPIRES,
WILL ADD TO THEIR'S A NAME OF FEAR,
WHICH TYRANNY SHALL QUAKE TO HEAR,
FOR FREEDOM'S BATTLE ONCE BEGUN,
BEQUEATHED BY BLEEDING SIRE TO SON
THOUGH BAFFLED OFT IS EVER WON.

AVAIL YOURSELF OF THE PRIVILEGE ACCORDED YOU AND SHOOT THAT YOU ARE WORTHY SONS OF WORTHY SIRES. DO NOT AWAIT THE DISHONOR AND DISGRACE OF A DRAFT. A BOUNTY OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS, ONE FOURTH OF WHICH, AND 0NE MONTHS PAY IN ADVANCE WILL BE PAID WHEN MUSTERED INTO THE SERVICE OF THE UNITED STATES. ALL ABLE-BODIED MEN WHO WISH TO JOIN WILL APPLY AT ONCE, AT HEADQUARTERS, AT THE ARMORY OF THE ANTHONY WAYNE, HOWELLVILLE, CHESTER VALLEY, WHERE AN OFFICER WILL BE FOUND AT ALL TIMES TO ACCEPT RECRUITS, SWEAR AND MUSTER THEM IN, WHEN PAY AND RATIONS WILL COMMENCE IMMEDIATELY.

COME AS THE WAVES COME,
WHEN NAVIES ARE STRANDED:
COME AS THE WINDS COME,
WHEN FORESTS ARE RENDERED,
LEAVE THE CORPSE UNINTERRED
THE BRIDE AT THE ALTAR:
THE PLOUGH IN THE FURROW
THE STEER IN THE HALTER.
