available in a 39-page typescript, kept with the set.
This set is a mine of valuable detailed original
source material on every phase of Pennsylvania history.
Among the subjects covered are: Colonial explorations,
history and settlements from 1614 on; provincial papers
and records; the French occupation; records of all the
wars, especially the Revolution and including the Whiskey
Rebellion; boundary disputes; Revolutionary orderly
books; minutes of important historical meetings;
lists of military officers; personal narratives of
travels, explorations, expeditions, etc. journals; maps;
land claims and warrants; forfeited estates; county
muster rolls and papers; rosters of military groups;
marriage records of old churches; naturalizations; state
accounts; tax and assessment lists; papers of all
governors and some other important officials; election
returns 1756 - 1789.
