Editorial

On the occasion of the recent opening of the new Conestoga High School and the closing of the Tredyffrin-Easttown Senior High School, the Tredyffrin-Easttown History Club takes pleasure in presenting this special issue of the Quarterly devoted entirely to the history of the latter school and of former institutions of secondary education in these townships It is the result of some fifteen years of research and labor of the author, Mrs. Mildred F. Fisher. Mrs. Fisher was one of the founders and is a past president of the Tredyffrin-Easttown history Club, for many years she was the only woman revenue agent in the Department of Institutional Collections for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with offices at Pennhurst State School. She is President of the Women's Republican Club of Chester County and one of the three Auditors of Tredyffrin Township. She has recently completed a two-year term as Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, and has just been named "Woman of the Year" by the Berwyn-Paoli- Malvern Club of this Federation.
