It has been five years since the last issue of the Tredyffrin-Easttown History Club Quarterly. We concur with the traditional comment of the governor of North Carolina -- and regret the lapse in its publication.

But with the renewed interest in local history as we approach the upcoming tricentennial of Pennsylvania, we hope the Quarterly will once again appear with greater regularity. Your help and support will help us all achieve that goal.

In keeping with the policy now long-established, this issue is identified as "Volume XVI, Number 3", each volume comprising four issues.

Incidentally, anyone seeking more information about the Tredyffrin-Easttown History Club is invited to get in touch with any of the officers of the Club shown on the preceding page. Your interest is appreciated.
