Mildred Huber

Mildred Huber, a member of the Tredyffrin Easttown History Club for the past several years, passed away at Bryn Mawr Hospital on May 13, 1982. She was 68 years old.

A life-long resident of Berwyn, she attended school in Berwyn, and was a member of the Class of 1932 at Tredyffrin Easttown High School, with a record of perfect attendance in her freshman, sophomore and junioryears. An honor student, she then attended and graduated from Drexel University.

In 1940 she joined the W. E. Shipley Machinery Company in Media, where she was still employed; the employee with the longest service in the firm. She was also the assistant treasurer and a director of the company.

Miss Huber was also a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church for more than fifty years, and formerly sang in the church choir. She was one of the first two women elders of the church, and quite active in its mission work.

She also was a contributor to the Freedoms Foundation.

The daughter of Ora and Mae Huber, she was the last of the immediate family.
