Another member of the club, Bernadette Daly Loesch, died on September 29, 1993, at the age of 87. Over the past few years her activities were somewhat limited because of her health.

Bernadette Daly was raised in Overbrook and graduated from St. Leonard's Academy, before attending Rosemont College. On several occasions she recalled for us growing up on the Main Line, attending tea dances at the Devon Park Inn, and automobile trips out into the country after the First World War and in the 1920s.

In 1928 she started a 25-year career with The Curtis Publishing Company, most of it on the editorial staff of Country Gentleman, where she served as liaison between the editorial and manufacturing departments. Shortly after leaving Curtis she married the late Herbert V. Loesch, and lived in Cleveland, Ohio for five years before returning to this area. In 1964 they settled in Daylesford, purchasing one of the original homes of the Sheldrake Tract off Russell Road.

Mrs. Loesch spent her next few years conducting a program at Rosemont College for exceptional children.

In addition to her activities with the History Club, she was a member of St. Norbert's Church in Paoli. She was also a painter.

She left no immediate kin, and was interred at Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken.
